Pakistan
Our main source of production in Pakistan is from our own family owned factory Proline in Karachi, this employs over 650 people originally involved in the production of knitted goods but now with the addition of a cut and sew wovens unit.
Proline Knits production is a state of the art vertical unit which provides everything from yarn choice through knitting, dyeing, washing, finishing, cutting, sewing and packaging to exporting the final product in fabric and in finished garment form. CAD/CAM systems ensure accurate, patterns, grading and cutting.
Proline History
Established in 1990 the site has grown from 10000 sq feet to its’ current size in excess of 130,000 sq ft. Commercial knitting was the starting point making rib, jersey, pique, fleece, French terry, herringbone, interlock, thermal and performance fabrics. The business grew very successfully with the addition of a sewing unit in 1995 and a fully automated dyeing, laundry, brushing and finishing plant in 2000. Only azo-free eco friendly reactive dyes are used. Equipment includes vessels for sample dye batches right up to very large bulk quantities.
2006 saw further expansion with the set up and development of manufacture of woven garments employing a further 150 people. Fabrics for this type of production are sourced from the most suitable source. This new venture has allowed us to offer customers the same level of service and control that they have enjoyed on knit products for so long.
These days it is quite reasonable to expect the highest quality and we know that that does not happen by accident. Highly trained staff at Proline using real- time production management systems ensures that quality is assured and that there is complete traceability on all items.
